President
James R. Brown, CPT
Jim Brown is the Program Advisor to the Technical Training Section at Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station. As such, he has worked with the Radiation Protection, Chemistry, and Engineering departments in the areas of Human Performance Improvement and Training. He has worked in the nuclear power industry for 35 years. He has a BS degree in Theatre and an MA degree in Organizational Management. Jim has served on the AZISPI board as President and Vice President of Communications He is certified as a Performance Technologist by the International Society for Performance Improvement.

Pamela Roe Ehlers
Pamela Roe Ehlers has more than 20 years experience in organizational and individual development in both the private and public sector. Described by a former colleague as a “proven performer,” she has a history of getting results – whether in the role of a consultant, trainer or coach—or in her ability to facilitate collaboration through marketing and business development. Pam began her career as a secondary English teacher and athletic coach, where she developed effective learning and performance strategies. But it was her next career with IBM that sparked her interest in organizational development, workplace education and career management. Since her IBM tenure, she has worked with small, medium, and large organizations in the business and government sectors as well as an adjunct instructor for the Maricopa County Community College System. As director of the Center for Professional Development, University of Phoenix, Phoenix Campus, Pam sold, developed and delivered corporate training programs. Her clients included representatives from diverse industries in aviation, defense, technology, financial services, healthcare, and government. In her recent role as vice president and a career management coach for American Career Executives, she consulted with executives, professionals, and college graduates just beginning their job search. Her professional path has included such diverse roles as the President of the Woman’s Executive Association of Metropolitan Phoenix, Chairman of the Small Business Committee of the Paradise Valley (now North Phoenix) Chamber of Commerce, and most recently she was an active member of the Arizona Tech Council Workforce Development Committee. She served on the Advisory Board of Directors for the Conference for Management and Executive Development and is a member of the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) and International Coach Federation (ICF). As member of the AZ Chapter International Society of Performance Improvement (AZISPI), she also serves as the Vice President of Community Relations. Sought out as a speaker for various organizations, Pam’s recent presentations include: Strategies for Managing Your Career, Networking for Results: Practical Tips and Tools, and New Year, New Career. As a career management expert, she has frequently been cited in the Tribune. Pam has a Masters of Science in Counseling and is currently attending the College of Executive Coaching.

Keith Bearup
Keith attended ArizonaStateUniversity where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and a commission as an officer in the United States Air Force. He has over 22 years experience in the training and performance improvement fields analyzing and coaching performance, developing multi-media curriculum, authoring a wide variety of text materials, and managing & delivering interactive training courses. Over the years, he has served as a U.S. Air Force Special Operations Flight Instructor & Course Manager, Senior Training Manager for Charles Schwab, and now serves as a member of thePerformance Improvement Team at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, where his focus is in human performance improvement and training. Keith is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Instructional Systems Development School and is a Development Dimensions International (DDI) certified instructor.

Theresa Moore, M.Ed.
Theresa attended Southern Illinois University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. She worked as Marketing Manager for the Merchandise Mart in Chicago where she developed marketing strategies and seminar programs for trade personnel in the residential furnishings industry. Continuing her education, Theresa earned her Master's degree in Adult and Corporate Instructional Management from Loyola University. For over ten years she worked as a Consultant for companies such as United Airlines, Ciba Vision and the YMCA delivering performance-based training. Today, Theresa works for The Ryland Group as a Training Specialist developing on-line training programs.

Barbara Nixon
Barbara holds a Master’s degree from Oregon State University in Organization Development and Training Specialist in Adult Education. She has worked in education and training related fields for 25 years. Her professional background includes teaching at the elementary, middle school, and community college levels, educational consulting, script writing and video production for educational media, and coaching. Today, Barbara is an instructional designer for American Express where she has also held positions as content editor and methods analyst.

Carol Haueter, CPT
Carol has a background in instructional design and human performance technology. She has worked in the training departments of 3 Fortune 100 companies and is currently a consultant. Carol has been an ISPI member for over 10 years. She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology from Muskingum College and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Development and Instructional Design from Ohio State University. She also has earned ISPI’s Certified Performance Technologist designation.

Debbora Woods-Schmitt
Debbora Woods-Schmitt holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Grand Canyon University and is currently completing her MBA in Leadership through GCU's Ken Blanchard School of Business. Her professional expertise includes Performance Improvement Interventions for higher education and health care industries. She has served as a Curriculum Developer and Instructor for the banking industry, government agencies and the Phoenix Urban Systemic Initiative (USI). Debbora is currently a professional consultant to state agencies for business process improvement and knowledge management. Another major area of expertise includes promoting learning transference in diverse learning communities. A long time Arizona resident, Debbora actively participates in the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE), American Society for Training & Development (ASTD), Arizona-Nevada Academy of Science (ANAS), and serves on the Board of Directors for Desert Heights Charter School.
